We specialize in documenting Baby’s First Year, from maternity through newborn and first birthday sessions.
As a boutique home studio, I intentionally keep y offerings focused so I can provide the highest quality experience for every family I serve.
The studio is equipped to provide custom setups for your session, from curated props to specialty baby-outfits and gowns for the most special women in our lives, the mamas! Our clients enjoy their customized sets which include beautiful props plus a full client closet that is available for your session!
Only the session fee is required upon booking and once your photos are ready, you will have the opportunity to create your own digital and print collections at your complimentary Ordering Appointment which is held approximately 7-14 days post session.
Ordering appointments can be held online or in person at the studio. The choice is yours considering your availability and comfort.

When should I book my newborn session?
Typically best when booked around the second trimester. We will secure your due date and adjust once baby arrives!The best time to reserve your newborn session is during your second trimester. Your due date will be placed on my calendar, and once baby arrives, we’ll finalize the session date together.
Newborn sessions are typically photographed during the baby’s first few weeks, but every baby and every family is different. If your baby has already arrived, please still reach out! I’m always happy to see what availability I have and help you choose the best session option for your baby’s age.
What does the newborn experience include?
Every newborn session begins with a complimentary consultation so I can learn more about your family, your style, and what you hope to preserve from this season.
Your session is thoughtfully planned from start to finish and includes access to my curated collection newborn outfits, wraps, props, and styling pieces. I take care of the details so you can simply arrive, settle in, and enjoy this time with your baby.
Newborn sessions are centered around your baby and the connection between baby and parents, creating a beautiful mix of carefully styled portraits and meaningful family images.
Do you photograph maternity and baby’s first year?
Yes! Rainbow Photography MH is designed to document the story of your baby’s first year, beginning with pregnancy and continuing through newborn portraits and the milestones that follow.
Maternity and first-year sessions are especially designed for families who what a consistent, meaningful experience as their baby grows. Returning newborn families receive special access to milestone and first birthday sessions, allowing us to continue documenting each chapter together.
Can I book a first birthday or milestone session if I’m a new client?
First-year milestone and birthday sessions are primarily reserved for families whose babies I have photographed as newborns.
This allows me to provide a more personal experience and continue telling the story I began documenting during your baby’s earliest days. Limited availability for new families may occasionally be offered.
Can I book a first birthday or milestone session if I’m a new client?
Approximately 7-14 days after your session, we’ll meet for your private Ordering Appointment. This can take place in person or online. During your appointment, you’ll see your images for the first time and choose how you would like to preserve them. You’ll have the opportunity to create your own collection of digital images, professionally printed artwork, or a combination of both.
Nothing beyond your session retainer is selected before you see your images, so you can make your decisions based on the portraits you truly love.
Absolutely. Your baby’s safety and comfort are always my highest priority.
I am trained in newborn posing safety and use a baby-led approach throughout every session. your baby is always supported, gently guided, and never forced into a pose.
There is no expectation for your baby to sleep the entire time or perform a certain way. We follow your baby’s cues, allowing time for feeding, soothing, and breaks whenever needed.
My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing your baby is being handled with patience, care, and experience.
